Unified Amiga USB Development Effort
There are a number of seperate USB developments on the Amiga.
As the USB system software is quite an involved piece of software,
it would be wise not to reinvent the wheel several times over.
This is a call to unite everyone who is working on the USB system software
for the Amiga to merge our efforts into an open usb system software.
The goals for this effort are:
-
Unify our efforts so that there isn't 10 different usb system software
solutions, each with its own API.
-
To effectively apply our resources to speed up USB system software development
and implementation of the complete set of standard USB device classes.
-
Hardware independent implementation. (parallel, serial, Zorro II, Zorro
III, PCI, etc)
This is an open source project. Anyone wishing to contribute to
this project is most welcome to.
The current effort consists of two Zorro II implementation and a PCI.
We are consolidating the software architecture.
If you already done some work, please contact us before some real work
gets underway.
A proposal architecture shall be available shortly.
